This week South Plains Special Olympic athletes headed to the Burgess Rushing Tennis Center for a week of honing in their tennis skills, having fun and making friends. Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. the athletes worked on perfecting their skills and this morning they held a competition in which the athletes competed against themselves to try and beat their personal best scores.

This camp is so much more than just working on their skills. The athletes had a chance to bond with volunteers and athletes from all across the South Plains and create friendships that will last a long time.
