Lavinci Damon Henderson, 41, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being captured Friday in Fort Worth. Henderson, a high-risk sex offender, was wanted for sexual assault of a child and failure to register as a sex offender. The arrest was the result of tip information, and a reward up to $5,000 will be paid.

Working off tip information, the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including members of the DPS Criminal Investigations Division, located and arrested Henderson without incident at a Fort Worth residence. The Fort Worth Police Department also assisted in the apprehension. In 1994, Henderson was convicted in Tarrant County of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of aggravated kidnapping. For more information, see his captured bulletin at: dps.texas.gov/Texas10MostWanted.

So far in 2016, DPS and other agencies have arrested four Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including three sex offenders and two gang members, and $5,000 in rewards have been paid for tips that resulted in arrests.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the five following methods:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Text the letters DPS – followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip at facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).
  • Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App. The app is currently available for iPhone users on the Apple App Store: (itunes.apple.com) and for Android users on Google Play: (play.google.com/).

All tips are anonymous – regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.

DPS investigators work with local law enforcement agencies to select fugitives for the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and Sex Offender lists. You can find the current lists – with photos – on the DPS website at dps.texas.gov/texas10mostwanted.
