Texas-19 Congressional Candidate Glen Robertson will be touring an unsecured portion of the U.S.-Mexico border early this week. The location will remain undisclosed until the trip has concluded. The transnational criminal organization operating in the border region Robertson is touring, and in full control of the region immediately south of the unsecured border, is Los Zetas; a cartel known for extreme brutality.
“Los Zetas are a threat to Texas and impact the safety of West Texans in District 19. The criminal group also impacts the future economic development of the region. The narcotics pushed by Los Zetas and other Mexico-based transnational criminal organizations also play a direct role in the pain and suffering of many West Texas mothers and fathers who feel helpless as they watch their children suffer through the horrors of drug addiction,” Robertson said.
Robertson added: “I look forward to returning back home to Lubbock and sharing my experiences with law enforcement leaders across West Texas, the Big Country, and with the general public. Congress must provide our men and women of the Border Patrol with the necessary tools to secure the border, and the political backbone to enforce immigration laws.”
