Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park will be at full capacity Friday evening as Texas Tech is officially sold out of tickets for this weekend’s NCAA Lubbock Super Regional against East Carolina.
The NCAA Lubbock Super Regional begins with a 7 p.m. first pitch Friday evening and continues with 2 p.m. starts on both Saturday and Sunday (if necessary). Each of the first two games in the series will air on ESPNU while the “if necessary” game will be carried on either ESPNU or ESPN2.
The sellout is the second in as many weeks for Texas Tech after 4,732 fans packed Rip Griffin Park over four-straight days last weekend to watch the Red Raiders eventually top Dallas Baptist to win the NCAA Lubbock Regional.
Those fans receiving the athletic ticket office confirmation email this evening can pick up their passes at the Texas Tech Ticket Office (located on the east side of Jones AT&T Stadium) beginning at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Tickets can also be claimed at the Rip Griffin Park ticket office starting at 5 p.m. Friday afternoon.
In addition, season ticket holders who purchased reserved parking for the 2016 season are encouraged to use those passes throughout the Super Regional. Parking passes for the R-23 lot near the Rawls College of Business will not be valid until 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon but will be reserved for the remainder of the weekend.
Students can claim tickets on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Rip Griffin Park box office. Texas Tech has held 300 complimentary seats for students (one ticket and one I.D. per student). All students must show a valid Texas Tech I.D. in order to claim a ticket.
For ticket questions, please contact the Texas Tech Ticket Office at 806-742-TECH.
