Texas Tech defeated Longwood 91-60 on Wednesday afternoon, en route to their second-straight 11-1 start.

Tech’s offense featured four different scorers in double-digits, but the Red Raiders senior forward Anthony Livingston lead the way with 19 points on 6-for-11 from the field, including 4-for-5 from three-point land, as well as four rebounds and 6 assists.

The Red Raiders crushed the Lancers on the boards, out-rebounding Longwood 42-18, however despite a 31-point win, it was on the defensive side of the ball that Texas Tech’s head coach Chris Beard was not pleased.

“You know I wasn’t pleased today, defensively,” Beard said. “I don’t want to sit up here like Scrooge, but to tell you the truth and answer the question, I didn’t think that we really played good today at all. I didn’t like our focus at the start of the game. We just had a lot of individual mistakes.”

Texas Tech will next travel to Ames, IA where they will open Big 12 play against Iowa State (8-3, 0-0 Big 12) on Friday, Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum.
