Friday afternoon Texas Tech’s junior wide receiver Jonathan Giles announced that he plans to transfer from the football program.

The news comes as a big loss for the Tech offense, as Giles was their leading receiver during the 2016 season, reeling in 69 receptions for 1,158 yards and 13 touchdowns. Giles averaged 96.5 yards receiving per game.
Giles has not announced where he plans to further his football career.
