An A-List cast and some dazzling effects bring the King back to life in Kong: Skull Island. A team of explorers investigates an uncharted island in the Pacific. Little do they know what they are getting into, or what they may unleash on the world. The movie-makers spent six  months on three continents to make the spectacle, and Industrial Light and Magic takes Kong to new heights. It runs almost two hours and it’s rated PG-13. Feel the chest thumps at the Alamo Drafthouse and every other Lubbock movie theater.

Cirque du Soleil comes to the United Supermarkets Arena with Ovo. “Ovo” is the Portuguese word for egg.
100 artists from 21 countries make up the Cirque tour team. There are ten acrobatic-related acts 80 cables span the set for the flying acts. Nicolas Chabot, publicist for Cirque, explains the tour, and what the show is about:

“So actually, Cirque du Soleil has shows in Las Vegas, we have permanent shows in Las Vegas, but we also have touring shows like this one, and all the Cirque du Soleil show have themes, and this one is about bugs, a day in the life of a bug’s community.

It’s also a little insect love story. You will be impressed. There will be performances through March 12th, featuring several matinees. Get your tickets before all the shows sell out through Select-a-Seat, ranging from $60 to $160.
