The Bridge of Lubbock is excited to conclude their holiday season of giving with their annual Christmas Holiday Outreach on December 22, 2016 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

Holiday Outreach: Christmas is a free meal provided to the homeless and low-income families of Lubbock and surrounding areas.  Families in attendance on December 22nd will experience a family atmosphere filled with Christ’s love.  The Bridge of Lubbock hopes to provide every person in attendance with a hot meal, coat, and toys for children.

The Corbin’s at Prospera Financial Services are graciously sponsoring this feast.  BCS Catering will prepare a Christmas feast.  Volunteers from Osteogenics and other individuals from the community will help serve the meal and spread holiday cheer.

In addition, The Bridge of Lubbock has partnered with Kingsgate Center in collecting coats for families in need. There are drop off bins all throughout Kingsgate center at 82nd and Quaker.  The drive started in November and will continue through the holiday season.  Also Charlie Pitner, a young 11 year old boy, is collecting coats.  Last year Charlie collected over 1,000 coats and The Bridge was a recipient of over 500 of those coats.  Coats are something of normalcy to a normal individual. However the warmth, joy, and comfort that a coat can offer to someone who financially can’t afford one will surpass many things. Coats are still needed and can be donated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10: 00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Bridge of Lubbock.

If you are interested in volunteering and would like to know how to get involved please contact Whitney Owen at  wowen@bridgeoflubbock.org or call 806-687-0772.
