The Dance Gallery has been in Lubbock for 35 years and this year they are sending a group of 30 girls to Orlando, FL, to compete in the Dance Theater USA International Summer Festival. They are also taking a tap routine and two soloists to this competition.
While these girls are at this competition, they will spend three full days in workshops, working with teachers from around the world. The girls will get a chance to dance styles that they would not usually do.
This team has been working for this competition for about a year now and is excited to get on the floor and show off their hard work.
Owner Carla McNeill, believes that dance has a way of teaching anyone who participates life lessons. At the Dance Gallery they focus on making the girls better dancers but emphasize on building them up to become better people.
