At [Monday] night’s Wolfforth City Council meeting, The United Family announced its plan to expand its United Express banner with a new next-generation location. The 5,000 square-foot convenience store and fuel location will be built at the corner of Marsha Sharp and 82nd Street, and will be the first piece of a larger retail development designed to serve Wolfforth’s rapidly growing needs.

The United Express location will offer its popular drive-thru service, made to order barista specialty coffee, fresh food and snacks prepared daily for guest’s on-the-go, as well as a walk-up kiosk with standard convenience items, including a selection of candy, snacks and soda. The store will also include 16 fuel pumps to better serve guest needs, which is more than the average 12 at other Lubbock United Express locations.

“The United Family is excited to introduce our new United Express concept to the Wolfforth community and continue to capitalize on growth opportunities for our guests who are on-the-go,” said Robert Taylor, president for The United Family. “This next-generation concept is one of many ways we’re investing in a fast-growing area of our community, which has been incredibly loyal to our company over the past century.”

In addition to being larger than previously built United Express locations, the next-generation concept store will include new and innovative features to be announced soon. Those details, as well as details on construction timelines and grand openings, will be released as the company confirms them.

“We’re thrilled to expand this next-generation concept in Wolfforth and give guests what they need; a wide variety of on-the-go food options, fast access to fuel and unparalleled customer service,” said Tony Crumpton, EVP facilities fuel and supply. “Our goal is to never stop improving and to always find ways to better serve our guests.”
