Guests of The United Family® of stores will get a special break on Tax Day when they are treated to free beans and cornbread Friday, April 15 at participating United Supermarkets, Market Street, Albertsons Market and Amigos locations in West Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth and New Mexico.

The comfort food will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. for dine-in only in the deli section of participating stores. Guests can enjoy one bowl of beans and cornbread per person with no purchase necessary.

“Everyone is in need of relief around Tax Day, and we are happy to give back to our guests during the dreaded tax season,” said Robert Taylor, president of The United Family. “By offering free beans and cornbread, our stores are able to connect with their individual communities and help family and friends put Tax Day behind them.”

Due to the popularity of the promotion, which debuted in 2013 at Market Street locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, The United Family has offered free beans and cornbread in most stores across the chain since 2014.
