The United Family, in partnership with General Mills, will present the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and the Marsha Sharp Leadership Circle with a check for $5,000 each, at the upcoming Lady Raider basketball game this Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m.

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund drives inspiration in the fight against women’s cancers in honor of Kay Yow, former North Carolina State University head women’s basketball coach. The Marsha Sharp Leadership Circle provides Texas Tech’s student-athletes with the opportunity to compete in additional tournaments, enhance recruitment, provide scholarship funding, and establish an overall atmosphere of athletic excellence.

All breast cancer survivors will also be on the court before the game and will be given $25 United Supermarket gift cards.
