The Midland County Sheriff’s Office reports a man was arrested Friday in connection with a 2013 murder in Snyder. Jammie Akeem Pruitt, 26, of Arlington, was taken into custody in the 900 block of College around 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force set up surveillance and learned that Pruitt was inside the home.

The Snyder Daily News reports Pruitt is the third suspect arrested in connection to the 2013 murder of Justin Vaughn. Snyder Police confirmed the arrest Monday. 

Snyder Police said Vaughn was murdered at his residence in the 200 block of 36th Street on March 13, 2013 around 2:10 a.m.

Two other suspects have already been arrested and charged with capital murder in this case. Christopher Devon Boyd, 21, of Roscoe, was arrested on February 11. Ray Anthony Gutierrez, 26, of Sweetwater, was arrested on February 13.

Snyder Police have stated that the investigation is still ongoing and other people were involved in the murder.

Pruitt remains in the Midland County Jail at this time.
