On Friday, June 10, 2016 at approximately 9:02 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of theft at United Market Street, 3405 50th Street. Two males and a female selected sushi rolls and buffalo wings from the deli. The female suspect then concealed the items in her purse. The suspects passed all points of sale and exited the store. A loss prevention officer and another employee attempted to stop the suspects and a struggle ensued. The suspects managed to get away after assaulting the loss prevention officer and store employee. The loss prevention officer suffered minor injuries and was treated and released by EMS. The store employee also suffered minor injuries and was transported to UMC by personal vehicle.

The victims were able to provide officers with a vehicle description and license plate. Officers drove to the vehicle’s registered address in the 4000 block of 46th Street where they located all three suspects and the stolen items.

The three suspects were arrested and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Facility and booked in.
