Three people have been arrested and and several firearms were recovered in connection to a shooting at On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, located on the corner of Loop 323 and South Broadway, Tuesday evening.
According to Tyler Police, at around 6:52 p.m., a man was shot while checking his truck that was possibly being burglarized in the restaurant parking lot. The victim was shot once in the arm when the suspects drove off.
While Tyler Police were investigated the shooting, the suspect vehicle was stopped by Kilgore Police. The shooting victim’s stolen property was located inside the vehicle, along with several firearms. They were placed under arrest at the scene. Police said it is possible the gunman is linked to other auto burglaries reported in the area. Two vehicle burglaries were reported nearby prior to the shooting in the 4500 block and 4600 of South Broadway.
