American Cancer Society’s 2015 Cattle Barons Ball
“Angels and Outlaws” tickets on sale
For more than three decades, the American Cancer Society’s Lubbock Cattle Baron’s Ball has raised money for cancer research and services for cancer patients. This year’s Angels & Outlaws event marks the 33rd Cattle Baron’s Ball, scheduled for July 25 at the V-8 Ranch. Pre-party events begin at 5 p.m. at City Bank, 5219 City Bank Parkway. Transportation will be provided from City Bank to the V-8 Ranch beginning at 5:30 p.m. for those with Baron’s tickets, 6:30 p.m. for those with Wrangler’s tickets.
The event will feature entertainment by Texas Tech Alumni Cory Morrow and Downtown Fever. Headliner Cory Morrow has stood out from typical Nashville scene for more than 20 years, flooding the airwaves with his Texas Country Music sound. To close out the evening, Downtown Fever will rock the ranch with dance tracks from the 60’s to today’s Top 40 hits.
Cattle Baron’s Ball offers something for everyone, including a variety of culinary treats by Don Strange Catering, Las Vegas-style games, a bull riding machine, a martini bar and more. Live and silent auctions complete the evening’s fund-raising efforts and offer one-of-a-kinds items including a trip for two for the ultimate Kentucky Derby experience, two coveted tickets to the most anticipated fashion event of the year, the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show as well as a trip for two to experience the Masters Golf Tournament and several other great items.
More than $6 million has been raised by Cattle Baron’s Ball events in Lubbock. This year’s event will raise funds for research for pediatric Medulloblastoma – a common malignant brain tumor that accounts for 20 percent of all childhood brain tumors. Tickets range from $275 to $1100 and are available at LubbockCattleBaronsBall.org, or by calling 806.792.7128.
