Lubbock Christian University is pleased to announce Jen Hatmaker as the featured speaker for an event titled, “An Inspiring Evening with Jen Hatmaker.” In previous years, LCU has sponsored nationally and globally recognized public figures Colin Powell, George W. Bush and Condoleezza Rice, who have shared their message with the Lubbock community. This series, in particular, highlights speakers who inspire and motivate listeners to live their best lives, to be their best selves. The first in the “Inspiring Evening” series featured Bob Goff, New York Times bestselling author of Love Does, who encouraged the audience to live an authentic life “doing love – really loving people and not just talking about loving people.”
“Jen Hatmaker is a difference maker; she makes a difference for women in this hustle and bustle world,” noted Melinda Pharies, Owner/ Business Developer of Carpet Tech, the title sponsor for the event. Jen Hatmaker is known for her practical books, such as For the Love and Seven, her humorous blogs, and her featured HGTV series — “My Big Family Renovation.” This down-to-earth preacher’s wife and mom of five are coming to Lubbock Christian University. A self-described lover of Jesus and champion of grace and goodness, Jen will make you laugh and make you think. Don’t miss this inspiring evening with Jen Hatmaker scheduled for April 19, 2016. The event will be open to the public and tickets will go on sale January 7, 2016, at 2:00 pm.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Jen Hatmaker to Lubbock for an unforgettable evening of encouragement and inspiration,” said LCU President Tim Perrin.
“Her disarming style and authentic Christian faith engage the imagination and feeds the soul. Events like this one require a collective effort, and I’m most grateful to Carpet Tech for their partnership. You don’t want to miss this event!”
You are able to purchase tickets online at LCU.edu/tickets. Tickets are available for the dinner and presentation or for the presentation only.
