Tom Cruise returns as Jack Reacher. He’s out to prove the innocence of his old boss. She’s been arrested for treason, but Reacher tries to uncover a huge government conspiracy that’s killing soldiers. It’s rated PG-13 and runs right at two hours. Jack Reacher: Never Go Back will go on at either Cinemark, Alamo, Stars and Stripes, and Premiere where it’s also in IMAX.

Just in time for Halloween, the second installment of the Ouija series: Origin of Evil. A widower and her two daughters try to bolster their séance scam by adding “the board.” But a terrifying spirit possesses the youngest and the family faces their deepest fears while trying to close the portal they opened. Rated PG-13 and a little longer than an hour-and-a-half, put your fingertips on the terror at either Cinemark, Alamo, Premiere or Stars and Stripes.

Also perfect for Halloween, the Lubbock Community Theatre continues its production of Dr. Jeckyll an Mr. Hyde. It’s based on the Robert Lewis Stevenson staple… but on this stage, several actors portray Mr. Hyde, giving you a mutti-faceted grasp on the fractured character.
