This fourth of July weekend the United States Women’s National Team defeated Japan 5-2 in the World Cup Final, and earned them their first World Cup Title in 16 years.
Texas Tech head soccer coach Tom Stone was with the team the whole way. This spring and throughout the tournament, Stone served as an advanced scout for the national team, and prepared multiple scouting reports on countries across the globe for Team USA coaches and players to review.
His reports were sitting in the hands of Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach and Carli Lloyd, as they made their incredible run to a world championship.
