Various overnight mainlane closures on Loop 289

EVENT:
Lubbock Power and Light (LP&L) is scheduled to service overhead lights along Loop 289 next week. The work will require the inside (left) mainlane at various locations along Loop 289 to be closed to traffic-allowing LP&L to safely make repairs and/or service the overhead lighting.
Beginning at 11 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 24, the inside southbound Loop 289 mainlane, from 4th Street to 41st Street will be closed. This lane will also be closed to traffic again overnight as work continues on Monday, Jan. 25.
Then, from Tuesday, Jan. 26, through Friday, Jan. 29, LP&L will work to make repairs to the lighting along south Loop 289. The overnight work will require various inside eastbound Loop 289 mainlane closures beginning each night at 11 p.m., from Spur 327 to Avenue P. Work is anticipated to wrap-up Friday morning.
The lanes are expected to reopen to traffic each morning by 6 a.m. The closures and work will take place weather permitting.
