A train collision Saturday afternoon in Midland leaves one dead and two seriously injured.
Midland Police say a pickup truck traveling eastbound on Carver Street was struck by a train. The driver, 61-year-old, Paul Thompson, died on the scene.
According to police, the pickup failed to control speed and slid through the crossing gate.
Two passengers were transported to Midland Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
Police tell us alcohol could have been involved and the investigation continues.
