The 100 Black Men of West Texas are proud to be putting on their 19th Annual Let’s Go Fishing Derby this weekend, Saturday, June 3rd from 7am-2pm at Mae Simmons Park by MLK and Canyon Lake Drive.
This year’s event is sponsored by the 100 Black Men of West Texas as well as the Texas Game Warden Association.
They will put the fish in the water, but it’s up to you to catch them! Make some memories with your kids and take them out learn to fish or to catch some great fish. It’s time together that matters.
Participants will enjoy an outdoor cookout lunch, and they encourage you to bring your own fishing pole.
There are three different age categories and the winner of each will receive a prize. 8 years and under – 9-13 years old – 14-17 years old.
