OperationServe, the 6th annual collaborative effort of the First United Methodist Church, the City of Plainview and other churches/organizations in Plainview, are currently requesting projects and volunteers.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 29, the goal of this day is to supply holistic opportunities in which every church, organization, and age group (3 and up) can utilize individual gifts/skills to personally aid in the development of the community.  Volunteers spend the day working various projects and are encouraged to utilize this experience as a “spring board” for continual involvement in the community.

In order to utilize volunteers, OperationServe is also looking for projects. Priority is given to citizens in Plainview who may not be able to physically or financially complete certain projects. Some examples of typical projects include yard work, house clean-up, small maintenance repairs or other odd jobs.

The City of Plainview will also have a Clean-Up Day in conjunction with OperationServe and details will be announced soon.
