Paws Pet Adoption, located in Plainview, is an animal shelter trying to save the lives of animals one day at a time.
The shelter has dogs and cats, which can be adopted for a fee of $100. The folks at the shelter hope to cut down on the euthanasia of area animals by adopting them out and educating the public about spaying or neutering.
The folks at Paws Pet Adoption said their is a pet overpopulation in the area because people don’t want to spay or neuter their animals because of the cost they believe is associated with it or because they want to breed their animal.
But Paws Pet Adoption is making it easier for people to spay or neuter their animals with their program, where for a $20 co-pay Plainview residents can have their dog or cat spayed or neutered.
