The Lubbock Enforcement is having a Citizen’s Academy. This academy is a 12 week program that will kick off on April 4th. This is a collaboration between LPD, LSO, and DPS.
Students who go through the academy will get hands on experience, see demonstrations and learn about the different units within the agencies. Class topics will include tactical driving and high risk stops, SWAT demonstration, and so much more.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 6 p.m., to 9:30 p.m. There will also be an additional Saturday of driving and shoot. You must be 18 years or older and live or work within Lubbock County. To graduate from the class you must do a ride-along with your choice of agency and must attend 10 of the 12 classes.
Get your application in soon, because they are only accepting them until February 4th.
