Yesterday we gave you all some advice on how to take care of your flower bed  during this part of the year. While lawn care is a little different, it’s just as important.

Having a great looking lawn can boost your curb appeal and even help your property value. So how can you takes steps to make your lawn look amazing?

First, make sure your mowing at the right height. During the summer, adjust your mower height to leave grass a little higher. Taller grass shades soil which reduces water evaporation, leads to deeper roots and prevents weeds from germinating.

Next make sure you clean up after your furry friend after they do their business on the lawn. Their mess can cause dead spots on your grass, so pick up everything and water to dilute any urine that will get into the soil.

Lastly you can always let your lawn clippings rest on your mowed lawn for a couple of days. This process is called “grass cycling” and is a process that puts nutrients back into the soil of your lawn.
