The third week of the Summer Series is all about Summer Safety. Swimmer’s Ear is an infection of the outer ear canal which runs from the eardrum to the outside of the head. It is often brought on by water that remains in the ear after swimming.

Symptoms of Swimmer’s Ear are redness in the outer ear, warmth, pain or tenderness and has a feeling of being full. There are different treatments for Swimmer’s Ear including a warm washcloth, over the counter ear drops or rinsing the ears with equal parts of vinegar and rubbing alcohol.
