TRENT, TX — A Big Country man is behind bars for the attempted murder of his stepson.
Taylor County Jail records show Odo Zee White Jr., 64, was waiting outside his home on the 100 block of N. Cedar Street in Trent Saturday night with intent to ambush and kill his stepson.
When his stepson drove up around 11:30, White discharged six rounds from a 9mm pistol and a .30-06 into his truck. At least two penetrated the glass near the driver’s side where his stepson was sitting.
White missed his target and retreated inside where he fired at least ten more rounds while walking around the habitation.
No injuries occurred from the incident.
White was booked into the Taylor County jail where he is being held on bonds totaling $200,000 for Attempted Murder and Deadly Conduct.
