‘Phantom Nights’, a television pilot filmed in Lubbock earlier this year, is now available to view online.

Director and writer Damon O’Steen is originally from Lubbock. In February, there was an open casting call for actors to take part in the pilot and then the pilot was shot in four days in Lubbock.

“Lubbock’s a character in the pilot almost itself,” O’Steen said. “So it lends itself visually and cinematically, to the story, and I think that’s what’s unique about ‘Phantom Nights’, is it’s not just set at the drive-in, but it’s set here in West Texas.”

“We used local talent, crew and cast and I’d like to continue that if we got the green-light to make more,”  O’Steen said.

The pilot can be viewed on Youtube here.  O’Steen said they hope people will not only watch the pilot, but share their feelings as well.

“The idea is executives that have the power to green-light this, will see audiences are responding well to this and want to see more,” O’Steen said. “That’s what we want to show with the social media element of ‘Phantom Nights’, is people sharing the Youtube link, commenting on it, liking it, and basically awareness out.”

O’Steen said they had about 150 people show up to the open casting call that was in Lubbock in February.
