Levelland Police confirmed that officers were called to the scene of a shooting Saturday at 12:50 pm in the 1400 block of 12th street.
Police said a 12-year-old boy been shot in the head and officers said it was reported as an accidental shooting. The boy was taken from the scene by EMS and transported to Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock where he was reported in fair condition.
Although neighbors provided a name for the boy, police have not yet released it. Because the name did not come from official sources, EverythingLubbock.com will not report it.
A 34-year-old man was questioned and police have not yet released his name.
