Two Died in Weekend Crash in Haskell

The Texas Department of Public Safety said two people died in a crash in Haskell County.

DPS publicly identified the victims who lost their lives as Yancie Wade McCuistion, 19, of Sugar City, Colorado and Vinita Jean Trevino, 19, of Petrolia.

DPS said McCuistion was driving a pickup truck with a horse trailer on Saturday evening.  The truck was going northeast on U.S. Business Highway 277 approaching a stop sign at U.S. Highway 277, according to DPS.

DPS said McCuistion’s truck “disregarded a stop sign.”

Trevino was a passenger in the truck.

Jakob Todd Plummer, 20, of Wichita Falls was also a passenger in the truck and suffered critical injuries, DPS said.  He was taken to Hendrick Medical Center.

Drew Davis Hill, 20, of Canadian was also a passenger in the truck.  He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Haskell Memorial Hospital, according to DPS.

DPS said Michael Lea Moynihan, 73, of San Angelo, was driving a motorhome.  DPS said the truck hit the side of the motorhome.  Moynihan was taken to Haskell Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

DPS said it was not known if McCuistion and Trevino were wearing seat belts.
