One person was arrested Thursday morning after hitting a light pole on the South Loop. Police later identified the driver as Ahmad Rashad Jackson, 35, of Lubbock.
Police said Jackson was driving a truck in the westbound lanes when the he hit the light pole and guardrail. The light pole fell onto the west bound lanes, blocking part of the loop.
A second car driving on the loop hit the abandoned truck. Two people were injured. Lubbock Police said TX DOT was called out to fix the guardrail and picked up the light pole.
Jackson was arrested for evading arrest and parole violation.
