Two men were shot in remote Presidio County at a ranch on Friday evening, according to Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez.
The shooting occurred at the Circle Doug Ranch, just west of Candelaria, around 9:30 p.m.
A deputy sheriff arrived at the scene and found two gunshot victims inside a ranch house. Additional officers were then called for backup.
The Presidio Police Department, U.S. Border Patrol, Texas DPS also responded to the shooting scene.
Walker Daughtry, 26, was flown via helicopter to El Paso after being shot in the abdomen, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Another victim, Edwin Roberts, 59, was transported by US Border Patrol EMS to Presidio and ultimately flown to El Paso for a gunshot wound in his arm.
The shooting remains under investigation.
