Today, June 5th, 2015, at approximately 12:12 a.m., patrol officers received a call about a disturbance in the 2000 block of 46th Street. They responded and learned that a motorist in a white Cadillac Escalade had been traveling eastbound when another motorist was backing out of a private drive and almost collided with the Cadillac. Both involved parties argued about the incident in the street. The responding officers de-escalated the situation and everyone went on their way.

Several minutes later, the driver of the Cadillac returned with several other people. They were met in the street by a group of people from the involved residence and an argument ensued. The argument quickly escalated and someone with the Cadillac group pulled a gun and began shooting into the opposing crowd. Two victims were shot. They were transported to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect left the scene and was not located.

The Lubbock Police Department urges anyone with information to call Crime Line at 806-741-1000.
