An Odessa man was killed early Sunday afternoon after his motorcycle was struck by another vehicle at a local intersection.
According to the DPS, the accident occurred on Farm-to-Market Road 2020, approximately 3 miles west of Odessa, at 12:32 p.m.
Authorities say a Suzuki Colt motorcycle was traveling westbound on FM 2020. A Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on Flamingo Road. The Elantra came to a stop at the intersection of Flamingo Road and FM 2020.
The car then continued south through the intersection and struck the motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle was killed in the accident and has been identified as John Carl Korloch, 33, of Odessa.
The diver of the Elantra, identified as Maria Jaquez Sandoval, 63, of Odessa, suffered non-incapacitating injuries and was listed in stable condition.
The DPS report states Korloch was wearing a motorcycle helmet and Sandoval was wearing a seat belt.
