The Lubbock Police Department reports three people were injured an a vehicle ended up in a playa lake following a two vehicle accident in West Lubbock Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred at the intersection of 19th Street and Milwaukee Avenue just after 3:00 p.m.
Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com a Hyundai, driven by a 16-year-old, pulled out of the CVS Pharmacy parking lot and was struck by a Yukon.
The collision caused the Hyundai to spin, crash through a barbed wire fence and cole to rest in a playa lake behind the Stripes convenience store.
The driver of the Hyundai was able to get out of her vehicle but suffered moderate injuries. She was transported to Covenant Women’s and Children’s.
The driver and a passenger in the Yukon suffered minor injuries and were taken to University Medical Center.
