The Texas Department of Public Safety reports one person was killed and two others were injured following a two vehicle crash in Bailey County early Saturday.
The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on State Highway 214, approximately 0.7 miles north of Muleshoe.
The DPS said a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck, pulling a trailer, crossed the center stripe into the southbound lane and struck a 2004 Buick passenger car.
The driver of the pickup was airlifted to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock with unknown injuries. The DPS identified this individual as Christopher Parker, 34, of Muleshoe.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the accident scene and was identified as Guillermo Valdez, 55, of Muleshoe.
A passenger in the car was airlifted to University Medical Center in Lubbock with unknown injuries. The DPS identified this individual as Adela Ramos, 54, of Muleshoe.
The accident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
