The Texas Department of Public Safety reports a Southeast Texas man was killed in a two vehicle accident in Callahan County early Monday morning.
The accident occurred on State Highway 36, approximately 12 miles south of Baird, around 12:40 a.m.
Authorities said a westbound semi-truck hydroplaned, jackknifed and came to rest blocking the highway. A second westbound semi-truck then crashed into the first semi-truck.
Jonah Wayne Neal, 32, of Montgomery, was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Mr. Neal was the driver of the second semi-truck.
The driver of the semi-truck that initially crashed was treated and released at the scene.
The DPS said the crash remains under investigation.
