UMC Health System supports the Lubbock City Council’s decision to review EMS service within the city limits. UMC has provided Lubbock’s EMS services for the past 40 years. As a result, UMC understands the commitment our first responders have to providing the best service to Lubbock in life-threatening situations. UMC EMS, along with Lubbock Fire & Rescue, respond to more than 35,000 emergency calls annually. UMC also provides financial support, personnel and equipment to EMS services in Lubbock County.

UMC welcomes any review to help ensure such critical services are handled efficiently, safely, and in the best interests of the community we serve.
