Update:

Police have confirmed a Merkel teen is still missing even though an Amber Alert connected to her disappearance has been discontinued.

The Texas Department of Public Safety initially reported Zoey Limon, 13, was found on Wednesday at 3:41 p.m., but Merkel Police claim she has not been located.

Officer Phillip Conklin says Limon’s disappearance no longer meets the criteria for an Amber Alert, and he told KTAB and KRBC DPS automatically states the child has been found when an Amber Alert is discontinued.

Three suspects, her biological mother Adryana Limon and two young men, Joe Damian Valdez and Jimmy Wayne McQueen, were identified as possible suspects in connection to her disappearance.

It’s unknown if these individuals will be facing any charges. Merkel Police did say these individuals are being cooperative with the investigation.

Limon went missing from her grandmother’s house on Yucca Street in Merkel on March 12, 2017. Zoey was seen leaving the residence with her biological mother Adryana Limon.

Adryana was arrested on outstanding warrants in Sweetwater on April 1, 2017, but Zoey was not in her custody.

A press release from the Merkel Police Department states an official order was signed on April 4, 2017, that temporarily took custody away from Adryana and Zoey’s father. Adryana posted bail that same day after learning she would no longer have possession of her daughter.

Zoey and two young men, believed to be Valdez and McQueen, were caught on camera picking Adryana up from a detention center in Taylor County after her bail was posted.

Original Story:

The Merkel Police Department is searching for a child who’s been missing since March and is believed to be in danger.

Zoey Limon, 13, went missing from her grandmother’s house on Yucca Street in Merkel on March 12, 2017.

Zoey and two young men, Joe Damian Valdez and Jimmy Wayne McQueen, were caught on camera picking Adryana up from a detention center in Taylor County after her bail was posted.

The group could be traveling in a silver 2007 Pontiac G6 with Texas license place number JBM1632 or  a tan and white 1996 Chevrolet Suburban bearing Texas license plate HRF7519. The press release states they are likely in Abilene or Sweetwater.

Police believe Adryana may have introduced her 13-year-old daughter to drugs, and it is “highly likely Zoey is in danger and/or in a dangerous situation”, according to the release.

The release also states that Zoey is in a sexually abusive relationship with one of the young men suspected in her disappearance.

Anyone who has seen Zoey or any of the suspects connected to her disappearance is asked to call the Merkel Police Department at (325)928-4766.
