The Lubbock Police Department has released additional details on an attempted armed robbery in Southwest Lubbock Saturday evening.
The incident occurred in the area of 57th Street and Slide Road just after 9:30 p.m.
According to Lubbock Police, the victim walking from her job at South Plains Mall to her vehicle, which was parked on the west side of the Raising Cane’s restaurant.
The victim told police a man, armed with a handgun, approached her and demanded her phone and wallet.
The victim walked quickly away from the scene and into the restaurant.
The suspect did not follow the victim and no property was taken.
Police described the suspect as black male in his middle 20s. He is approximately 5’8″ tall and weighs between 150 and 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
