The Lubbock Police Department reports Devin Deshon Holland,18, was shot to death a residence in Central Lubbock Sunday afternoon. 

The incident occurred in the 1900 block of 66th Street around 1:30 p.m.

Lt. Ray Mendoza, spokesman for the Lubbock Police Department, tells EverythingLubbock.com the incident is being investigated as a homicide.

Authorities say the male victim was shot in his apartment. EMS crews responded to the scene but the victim was pronounced deceased. The victim was shot in the neck and the chest. 

While on the scene of the shooting, officers noticed a black Lincoln Navigator heading back to the scene at a high rate of speed. Mendoza said the vehicle had blood smeared on the passenger side. The vehicle was stopped near 66th and University where it was confirmed the vehicle was involved in the homicide. The driver and a passenger are cooperating with authorities, Mendoza said. 

The shooter remains at large at this time. Lubbock Police are still conducting their investigation.
