A Terry County man was airlifted to a Lubbock hospital following a one vehicle accident in Hockley County early Wednesday morning.

The accident was reported in the area of U.S. Highway 62/82 and Oxen Road, near Ropesville, just after midnight.

According to the DPS, a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling southbound on the highway when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The driver overcorrected, which caused the truck to overturn and come to rest in the northbound lanes.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the accident.

The victim, identified as Thomas Limon, 28, of Brownfield, was transported by Aerocare to University Medical Center with unspecified injuries.

There was no word on Mr. Limon’s condition as of late Wednesday afternoon.

The DPS said the crash remains under investigation.
