Two people were injured following an officer involved crash in south Lubbock early Thursday morning.
Lubbock Police were called to an accident with injuries just after midnight Thursday morning at 98th Street and Frankford Avenue involving an officer.
The officer was transported to the hospital for their injuries. The driver of the other vehicle drove to the hospital with minor injuries.
Accident investigators were also called to the scene, and they said they will release more information upon reviewing dash cam footage from the officer’s vehicle.

The Lubbock Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit is investigating a crash that involved a Lubbock police officer early this morning.
Just after midnight, officers responded to an accident with injuries at the intersection of 98th Street and Frankford Avenue.
Officer Belinda House, 35, was traveling in a LPD patrol vehicle northbound in the 9800 block of Frankford Avenue. As she traveled into the intersection, she collided with a pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Jordan Cypret who was traveling westbound on 98th Street.
House had moderate injuries and was taken by an ambulance to University Medical Center. She was released from the hospital just before 4a.m. this morning. Cypret had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital by a personal vehicle.
Right now it is unclear who had the right of way at the intersection. The collision is under investigation.
UPDATE: LPD issued another statement involving the crash.
On Thursday, just after midnight, a Lubbock Police Department officer was involved in a traffic collision at the intersection of 98th Street and Frankford Avenue.
After reviewing the dash cam video and witness statements, investigators determined the driver traveling westbound on 98th Street entered the intersection with a red light, and the light remained red at the time of impact.
The light for northbound traffic on Frankford Avenue was green and had just turned yellow as the LPD officer, who had the right of way, entered the intersection. The light remained yellow at the time of impact.
