Construction crews will continue work on the US 84 bridge, at Frankford Avenue, on Thursday, March 16, morning. The operation to pour the bridge’s concrete deck will begin at 2 a.m. and will require the eastbound US 84 lanes, between Frankford Ave. and Kent Street, to be closed to traffic.
All eastbound traffic will be detoured around the work area via southbound Frankford Ave., to Erskine Ave. and north Slide Road to reconnect with US 84. The road closure and detour is expected to continue into Thursday afternoon; reopening before the afternoon rush hour.
Drivers are urged to pay attention to all signs, barricades and traffic control devices, and to reduce their speed as they approach work zones for their safety and the safety of the workers.
Westbound US 84 will not be affected. The work and lane closures will take place weather permitting.
