A suspect remains on the loose after crashing his vehicle into a Central Lubbock apartment building late Sunday evening.

The incident occured in the 4700 block of Albany Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

According to Lubbock Police, an officer was making a traffic stop in the 5100 block of 50th Street on a pickup truck without a working tail light.

Authorities said there were four people inside the truck.

The driver pulled over but then told the officer he didn’t have any identification when asked for it by the officer.

The officer then asked the driver to step out of the vehicle.
