Vehicle Crashes Through Fence & Into Central Lubbock Apartment Saturday Evening, Dog Killed

The Lubbock Police Department is searching for the suspect who drove a vehicle through a fence and crashed into the wall of a Central Lubbock apartment Saturday evening.

The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. in the 1600 block of 38th Street.


Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com an officer was an attempting to pull over a vehicle in the area of 42nd Street and Avenue Q when the driver accelerated and ran a stop sign.

The suspect vehicle then turned onto 38th Street and into an apartment complex parking lot.

The vehicle then ran through a wooden picket fence and became embedded into the brick wall and door of an apartment.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Lubbock Police said a dog in the yard was ran over and killed when the vehicle crashed through the fence.

Lubbock Animal Control called to the accident scene.

Police said the suspect has not been located as of early Sunday evening.
