The Texas Department of Public Safety said an Oregon man, who is suspected of committing a hit and run at around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, has bonded out of the Clay County Jail.
Officials said a semi truck was headed southbound on Highway 287 between Wichita Falls and Jolly, when the driver struck a man changing a flat on his pickup. The passenger inside of the pick-up was also injured. Officials said the suspect, Florichel V. Paladiy, drove away.
The suspect vehicle was found in the Walmart parking lot in Bowie. He was charged with two counts of accident causing serious bodily injuries.
Both victims are in serious, but stable condition.
