In 2015, Voice of Hope was called to assist on 374 sexual assault cases. Over 43% of those sexual assault
cases involved children under the age of 17 years. These statistics illustrate the harsh reality we must face.
Our agency is also addressing the issue of children being sex trafficked in the South Plains region. As the
second oldest rape crisis center in Texas, we feel it is imperative to coordinate this effort to educate our
community and provide services to victims of sex trafficking. Please help us in our mission by
participating in the upcoming Walk a Mile in Her Shoes March to Speak Out Against Sexual Assault
annual fundraising event on April 2, 2016.

We believe it shouldn’t cost to be a victim of sexual violence, so all services provided by Voice of Hope
are completely free. Our services include the following: a 24 hour sexual assault crisis hotline, crisis
intervention, medical resources and follow up for survivors and family members, services for victims of
domestic minor sex trafficking, accompaniment to medical, legal, and law enforcement proceedings,
counseling and support groups, and community education and prevention on sexual assault and
domestic minor sex trafficking.
