In a statement released late Thursday afternoon, Wayland Baptist University administrators have pledged support to students affected by the sudden closure of ITT Technical Institute.

Wayland is waiving application fees and will consider transfer credits to students interested in completing a college degree. Wayland’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree program is uniquely designed to maximize the amount of transfer credit available for work experience, job training and other education. The design can help offset any hours lost in transfer and shorten the time to degree completion.

“Our goal is to help you complete your degree as seamlessly and efficiently as possible,” the statement read. “As a regionally accredited, non-profit, higher education institution that’s been in existence since 1908, we know how to achieve that goal.”

Wayland offers the BAS degree at each of its campus locations in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska and Hawaii, as well as online.

ITT Tech student may contact the university at 1-800-588-1928 or call the BAS office directly at 806-291-3575. Information is also available online at wbuonline.com.
